of the gigantic web community, information sharing and one of the first
Melbourne-based online forums SitePoint.com. He is also founded the premier

platform for designers 99Designs.com that has crowdsourced projects of design
for thousands of small businesses as well as reputed brand names including Dish

* Matt’s entrepreneurial career
began at the age 15 whilst in high school when he managed an advertising deal
worth $10,000. He bought his first BMW with even before he was 17 and still at
school.
Matt Mickiewicz is far from your
average 29-year-old. He launched Webmaster-Resources.com in 1999 to educate web
developers and help them build their businesses at age 14 and has never really
looked back.
He partnered with an Australian marketing expert and re-launched
the site as Sitepoint.com in
2000, quickly growing it into a profitable multi-million dollar company without
any venture capital or outside funding. The site is now ranked #845 in the
world in terms of overall web visits according to Alexa web rankings, but
that's only a small part of what he's working on today.
Mickiewicz barely finished high school as he was already making more money than his teachers and has since founded two additional highly profitable sites in 99designs.com and Flippa.com. His three sites combined are turning over $20 million in revenue. With the interest that each business has had in the past year, a conservative combined estimate as to the value of all three companies is about $100 million.
As he prepares to launch his fifth site, Learnable.com, in the first quarter of 2011, Mickiewicz shares his unique insight on being a young entrepreneur, why business school is not for everyone and the excitement around startup costs to launch an Internet company today.

From 2008 on, he has been playing an
active role in promoting 99designs, and has successfully established it as #1
online marketplace for crowdsourced graphic design. In less than 4 years,
99designs has paid over $30 million to its designer community. In 2010, the
company was awarded Webby People’s Voice Award for being the ‘Best Web Service
& Application’ of the year.
In June 2009, Matt Mickiewicz and his
business partner Mark Harbottle founded Flippa.com which sells more than $3
million worth of website and domains every month. At present, Flippa ranks #1
among the marketplaces for buying and selling websites.
Mickiewicz now is the inspiration for
webmasters around the world. his website, Sitepoint.com has helped webmasters to
learn about the web, how to sell, buy books or learn coding and make a twitter
background.
His advice to young entrepreneurs,
"People who say that the large capital required to print a lot of money is
people who make excuses. Create a great value to others by providing solutions
like never before. "
